Kitchen Manufacturing Sustainability Policy 2025

Purpose
This policy outlines our commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of kitchen and bedroom furniture and components. We aim to minimize our environmental impact, and promote resource efficiency, across our operations.
1. Sustainable Materials Sourcing
– Source timber and wood-based products from FSC from certified local manufacturer.
– Prioritize the use of recycled, reclaimed, or rapidly renewable materials.
– Avoid materials that contain harmful substances or are known to contribute to environmental degradation.
2. Energy Efficiency & Emissions Reduction
– Invest in energy-efficient machinery and manufacturing processes.
– Use renewable energy sources e.g we burn excess materials to power our heating, we recycle carboard packing using our cardboard bailer machine, which is then collected by a local business and recycled by them.
– Track and actively reduce carbon emissions associated with manufacturing and transportation. We use a local manufacture for our materials which helps towards out carbon footprint.
– Implement energy-saving practices in all facilities. We have installed energy saving LED light systems in both units.
3. Waste Reduction and Circular Economy
– Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste.
– Reuse and recycle production scrap and offcuts where possible.
– Minimize packaging materials; use recyclable or compostable alternatives.
– Design kitchens with modularity and longevity to support reuse, repair, and recycling.
4. Water Use
– Monitor and minimize water consumption in production processes.
– Use water-efficient technologies and systems.
5. Product Design & Lifecycle
– Design for durability and timelessness to reduce product turnover.
– Create products that are easy to disassemble for repair, refurbishment, or recycling.
– we remove old kitchens and bedrooms and are responsible for the disposal of old units or we resell on of possible. When updating our kitchen/bedroom showroom we offer displays off at discounted rates rather than disposing.
6. Transportation & Logistics
– Optimize logistics to reduce transport distances and carbon emissions.
– Consolidate deliveries to reduce trips and packaging waste.
7. Ethical and Sustainable Supply Chain
– Vet suppliers for compliance with environmental and social responsibility standards.
– Engage suppliers in sustainability training and improvements.
– We prefer to use local suppliers to reduce transportation impacts and support local economies.
8. Compliance & Certification
– Regularly review and update practices based on industry standards and innovations.
9. Employee Engagement & Training
– Train staff on sustainability practices and encourage participation.
– Empower employees to identify and suggest improvements.
10. Transparency & Continuous Improvement
– Publish our sustainability policy on website
– Strive to achieve more sustainable year or year. Looking for ways to improve our systems.
– Seek feedback from customers and employees to improve our sustainability efforts.
